Can I get all the features of the DroneMobile app just by downloading and installing on my phone?
A: No, you must have a DR-1000 or DR-2000 DroneMobile system installed in your vehicle as well as a compatible Firstech system.
What notifications are supported by DroneMobile and compatible smartphones?
A: All compatible smartphones support text and email notifications. Only iOS devices support push notifications.
Does the service plan give me unlimited use?
A: Yes, the service plan gives the end user unlimited day-to-day usage of the device. However, we do monitor month to month DroneMobile usage. In the event that we find a user with abnormally high data usage we will send a notice to opt to a higher data plan.
How do I activate my DroneMobile system?
A: From your computer visit www.DroneMobile.com and click on the “DRONEMOBILE LOGIN” link then click on "New User Registration" and follow on-screen directions.
Can I control my vehicle from more then one phone?
A: Of course! Simply download the DroneMobile app and enter your user name and password.
Can I use DroneMobile with more than one vehicle?
A: Yes, DroneMobile can handle several vehicles from one application and as long as it is installed into each of the vehicles.
Will DroneMobile work outside the U.S.?
A: Yes, DroneMobile will work in the U.S. and Canada.
If I purchase a DroneMobile device in Canada, can I use it in the U.S.? If I purchase a DroneMobile device in the U.S., can I use it in Canada?
A: Yes. DroneMobile hardware and SIM card is the same for both U.S. and Canada. This means your vehicle can travel between the two countries without any interruption in service or additional fees. This does not include any roaming fees your smartphone cellular provider may charge.
Can I install DroneMobile myself?
A: Yes you may, however professional installation is recommended. This will also certify your 1 year manufacturer's warranty.
What is a remote start?
A: A remote start is a device that can start the vehicle from a distance to warm up or cool down the interior.
Is my car secure after I remote start it?
A: Yes, the vehicle needs it's key to operate and to drive the vehicle. The vehicle would shutdown once someone put their foot on the brake.
Is DroneMobile compatible with 2G data coverage?
A: Yes, DroneMobile will work on iPhones that run on AT&T's Edge Network.
Can I use DroneMobile if I do not have an iPhone?
A: Yes you may, DroneMobile is now available for select BlackBerry and Android phones. Please note that push notifications are not supported on BlackBerry or Android phones. BlackBerry and Android phones only support text and email alerts. DroneMobile can also be accessed without the smartphone app just visit live.dronemobile.com/login from any web browser.
Once installed, how do I activate my DroneMobile system?
A: Once installed, go to https://live.dronemobile.com/login and click on New User Registration. Have your 20 digit serial number ready and follow the on screen instructions to set your DroneMobile account up. DO NOT click on New Dealer Registration.
I did not receive an activation email. What happened?
A: It’s a possibility your email server has recognized us as Junk mail or the wrong email address was entered. The dealer may also have not registered your unit, in not proceed to live.dronemobile.com/login to complete the registration process.
How do I change the name of my vehicle?
A: Just log into your account at live.dronemobile.com/login and click on Settings > Asset Description > Vehicle Name.
How do I make a POI (Point of Interest)?
A: Log on to live.dronemobile.com/login click on Settings > Notification Settings > Set your options > Click Save.
How do I create a Geofence?
A: Log on to live.dronemobile.com/login click on Settings > Notification Settings > Set your options > Click Save.
I am not receiving any alert notifications for POI(s) (Points of Interest)?
A: Check to make sure you have set POI(s) and have selected to be notified either on arrival, departure or both. You can only choose one point of interest at a time and must do so from live.dronemobile.com/login only.
I am not receiving any alert notifications?
A: Be sure that the alerts you want are checked in your “Notification Settings” under the "Settings" Button on your Drone Mobile app as well as on live.dronemobile.com/login > Settings > Notification Settings.
I am not receiving speed violation alerts?
A: You will only receive speed violation alerts if the following three conditions are met:
1. You have upgraded to the Premium Plan. |
2. DroneMobile's GPS is locked on. |
3. Vehicle exceeds speed by at least 1 MPH over for 2 consecutive minutes. |
I registered multiple vehicles on my account but how do I access them from my phone?
A: Simply go to your Settings Button > Preference Settings > My Vehicles and hit "Select" on which vehicle you want to control.
What if I lost my phone can anyone just access my vehicle?
A: DroneMobile comes with a passcode lock. Under Settings > Preference Settings > Passcode Lock. Turning this feature “ON” will require a 4-digit pass code to access the application.
What do the “1” and “2” icons on my homepage do?
A: These icons control your auxiliary settings. These features are only compatible with a Firstech/Compustar System. Auxiliaries can control features like sliding doors or power window rollup/rolldown. These features should be detailed on your Quick Start Card. Please check with your DroneMobile dealer for details.
If I have multiple vehicles on my account will I receive notifications from any vehicle whether it is selected or not?
A: Absolutely not, you will be notified if any zones have been triggered for all of your vehicles right on your Alerts tab and through push notification.
How do I delete alerts?
A: Slide your finger from left to right on the right side of your alert.
I can’t see my vehicle on the map screen?
There may be poor communication between the GPS signal and your DroneMobile device. This can happen if your vehicle is located in a poor signal area. (ie…underground parking garage)
